Who We Are
Our Roots
Here at Pilot Club of South Brevard, we know that sometimes all it takes to change the world is a little support. Since our founding in 1961, we have been determined to make an impact. The core of our efforts is to bring our team’s fresh ideas and passion to the range of activities we’re involved in. Through all of our endeavors we hope to display the conviction behind our beliefs.
The Pilot Club of South Brevard was chartered July 17, 1961, as a local organization under the umbrella of Pilot International, a civic and service organization with headquarters in Macon Georgia. Pilot International was chartered on October 18, 1921 in Macon, Georgia, U.S.A. by Elizabeth Leonard and forty local business women. The name “Pilot” was inspired by the mighty riverboat pilots of that day who represented leadership and guidance.
It is a service organization of executive, business and professional leaders working together to improve the quality of life in our communities.
